Apple could launch 5 new iPhones in 2020, including 4.7-inch iPhone SE 2

Applecould launch five new iPhones in 2020, according to renowned Apple analyst Ming Chi Kuo. Kuo is heralded as an Apple expert and his research note (viaMacrumors) outlines Apple’s apparent strategy shift.
Instead of launching iPhones in September, Kuo predicts that the company will also launch a device in the first half of 2020.Another analysthad recently predicted this strategy switch, but it wasn’t expected to happen until 2021.

Coming back to the five new iPhones, Kuo says Apple will launch the so-called iPhone SE 2 in the first half of next year. The device is expected to come with a 4.7-inch LCD display. Kuopreviously saidthat the iPhone SE 2 will have an iPhone 8-like design, A13 chip, and 3GB RAM.
This will be followed by the launch of four OLED iPhones in the second half of 2020. As per Kuo, the 2020 OLED iPhone lineup will include a 5.4-inch, a 6.7-inch, and two 6.1-inch models.

The analyst expects all the high-end OLED iPhones to come with 5G connectivity. To facilitate 5G, Kuo expects Apple to use Qualcomm’sX55 modem. The modem will also be paired with theSnapdragon 865 SoCfor flagship5G Android phonesin 2020.
Kuo adds that the availability of models with sub-6GHz orsub-6GHz + mmWavewill vary in different countries. He expects mmWave 5G iPhones to come to the United States, Canada, Japan, Korea, and the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, the sub-6GHz iPhones will apparently be available in countries that don’t have 5G networks or have low 5G penetration.
