Did Amazon just confirm the existence of the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro?
August 15, 2025
TheOnePlus 8andOnePlus 8 Proexist and those are their real names, at least according to an Amazon listing. The ecommerce platform apparently listed the two upcomingOnePlus flagshipson itsaffiliate website.
The listing was first spotted bya Twitter userand later confirmed byGadgets 360who also saw it earlier in the day. It showed the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro as part of Amazon’s affiliate advertising fee schedule.

For obvious reasons, the listing has now been removed from Amazon.
While this isn’t really a big deal and we didn’t get any additional details about the upcoming phones, it can be taken as a confirmation of their names.

OnePlus launched Pro variants of both theOnePlus 7andOnePlus 7Tlast year. Amazon’s listing suggests that the company is once again adopting the same strategy this year. If so, we could see as many as five OnePlus phones in 2020.
How so? Well, OnePlus is already rumored to launch theOnePlus 8, 8 Pro and 8 Lite. If the company’s previous strategy is anything to go by, the second half of the year could bring the OnePlus 8T and 8T Pro models as well.
When can we expect the next OnePlus flagships?
Well,MWC 2020is just around the corner and it could potentially see the launch of at least one new OnePlus phone. But OnePlus has traditionally avoided MWC in favor of a May or June launch, dating back to theOnePlus 3.
Still, the Amazon listing could be an indicator that the launch of the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro is drawing closer. If Amazon has already decided on affiliate commission for the phones, they could be ready to hit the ecommerce platform soon.
However, there’s a slim chance that Amazon mentioned incorrect names in its listing and removed them before anyone got the wrong idea.
Nevertheless, there’s no harm in speculating the two phones exist. We’ve seen plenty of compelling information — including the renders of the phones — leak previously. The Amazon listing just lends more credence to existing rumors and leaks.
