Google I/O 2018 dates discovered: runs from May 8 to May 10 (Updated)

The door codes for each section were “Iwata, 01 60 80, Yam and Aeschylus” which were combined (in order) with the clues “sister, upside-down, mirror, and theatre” to provide the solution.
The sister city of Iwata is Mountain View, the upside-down numbers read 08, 09 and 10, which are the dates in May (the mirror image of Yam) when the event will take place. Finally, Aeschylus was a Greek philosopher who is shorthand for the Shoreline Amphitheatre (you guys will have to tell me if there’s anything more to that than just Greek philosopher = amphitheatre).

Google likes to make people work for information regarding its major annual developer conference, Google I/O. You might remember the scavenger hunt itlaunched last yearwhere the company left clues as to the date for its I/O 2017 show. Now, it looks like the hunt for the Google I/O 2018 dates is on.
Google began sending out clues from its developer-focused Twitter channel at midnight (via9to5Google). The first clue arrived in the initial image of that initial tweet—it’s binary forgoogle.com/io.
From that page, you’re taken to a Google Maps street view pointing towards the reception area of a Google building. Inside, you’ll notice a “sisters” theme (the Sister Carrie book, a picture of the Brontë sisters, a photo of twins), which leads to the solution: Iwata (Mountain View’s sister city), which is the door code used to unlock the next room.
This is a meeting room filled with more clues, but at the time of publication, we don’t have the solution. What you will notice in the room, however, is an “upside down” theme, including a pineapple upside-down cake. This will likely spark rumors that it will be the name for Android P, but Google is rarely so obvious—this probably just means we can rule that moniker out.
