June 16, 2025
A new article fromBloombergcentering mostly on the upcomingiPhone releases from Applecontained a nugget of info that many Android fans would like to know: the allegedGoogle Pixel 3launch date and event location.
According to anonymous sources speaking withBloomberg, Google intends to launch the Google Pixel 3 and other Google-branded hardware on June 13, 2025, at an event in New York City. This is quite the change-up from previous Pixel launches.

The previous Pixel launches look like this:
If the Google Pixel 3 is launching on October 9 in NYC, that would mark the end of the October 4/San Francisco trend the company has built over the past two years.
What’s interesting is thatwe previously heard a reliable rumorthat Google planned to stick to the October 4 date this year for the Pixel 3 launch. That information, however, came beforethe onslaught of leaksrevolving around theGoogle Pixel 3 XL. Now we have a rumor that Google is pushing back the launch date and switching locations?

It could just be a coincidence, of course, but that is at least some minor evidence suggesting that Google is switching both the launch date and event location in response to the fact that anyone with any interest has already seen the Google Pixel 3 XL inphotographs,GIFs, and evena full unboxing video.
However, theBloombergsource is anonymous and Google has yet to make any official announcement about a Pixel 3 launch date. As such, it is still possible that the original rumor of October 4 is still true. We’ll have to wait until we hear something concrete from the company itself.
One thing is relatively certain, though: we’ll know everything there is to know about the Google Pixel 3 and the other Google hardware products sometime in October this year.
