Google Pixel 5 specs leak reveals a ‘premium’ mid-range phone

July 02, 2025

If there was any mystery left to theGoogle Pixel 5specs,WinFuturemight have just erased it. The German site haspostedwhat it says are leaked details and images for Google’s Pixel 5, including its possible price in Europe.

Like earlier rumors have suggested, the Pixel 5 would be an upper mid-range smartphone rather than a flagship like thePixel 4.  It would center around a 6-inch, 1080p OLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, and would carry a Snapdragon 765G rather than an 800-series chip, although this would bring 5G support. You’d also get a good-enough 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, along with a familiar camera setup that includes 12.2MP regular and 16MP wide-angle rear sensors as well as a front 8MP shooter.

The phone might last longer on a charge than you think, however. Asearlier reports suggested, Google will reportedly give the Pixel 5 a larger 4,080mAh battery — that’s considerably better than the 3,700mAh pack in the Pixel 4 XL. The 5G wireless support might partly offset the increase, but fast charging (albeit just 18W) could help if you’re running low.

The Pixel 5’s price might also be tempting. In Germany, Google’s flagship will supposedly cost €629, or $736. We’d expect a lower price in the US, although this suggests it will be  substantially more expensive than the $499Pixel 4a 5G. It would nonetheless compete with comparable phones like theLG Velvet, and would be considerably more affordable than even the $799 Pixel 4 (with 64GB of storage) from 2019.

Google is expected to reveal the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G at itsSeptember 30 hardware event, where you’ll likely get definitive answers on specs and prices. Neither phone is expected to have truly stand-out features, but that may be part of the point — much like the standardPixel 4a, they’d deliver value for money by omitting the extras that make flagships so expensive.
