HUAWEI P9 Android Nougat update
Though some of HUAWEI’s devices have shipped with it pre-installed, it’s yet to get the Nougat rollout underway to a substantial degree. The HUAWEI P9 Nougat update has popped up in a few locations, Switzerland and Croatia reportedly among them, from as far back as January, but it’s not in full swing in Europe or the US.
It wasexpectedto roll out globally before the end of March — HUAWEI India said as muchin a tweeton March 2 — but that has come and gone with no sign of Android 7.0.
We’re still waiting, but if you do want to try and upgrade to EMUI 5.0 (Android Nougat) on your P9 now, you can have a go at this guide from theXDA Developers forums. It would essentially mean that your device becomes an unbranded UK model running EMUI 5, however, it looks quite tricky and means you would void your device warranty. Your call.
