iFixit partners with Motorola on OEM fix kits so you can replace your phone’s battery or display

In addition totearing apart new pieces of technologyand writing repair guides, iFixit actively tries to convince companies to make devices user-repairable. In a major step forward, iFixit has announced a new partnership with Motorola has resulted in the release of “fix kits.” With these customers can buy everything they need to repair a good number of Motorola smartphones.
iFixit is selling two different types of kits: battery replacements and LCD screen and digitizer assembly. Each of these comes with everything you’ll need to disassemble your phone, replace whatever is broken, and put everything back together. This includes a screwdriver, required bits, suction handle, tweezers, spudger, and an opening tool.
