iPhone what? LG confirms it will unveil V40 ThinQ on October 3

LG hasconfirmedit will unveil theLG V40 ThinQat an event in New York on Oct. 3, followed by an event in Korea the next day. Alongside the date confirmation, LG released a video that gives us more information about the phone’s triple-camera set-up.

In the video, the camera takes four pictures: one regular, one zoomed in, one wide-angle, and one using a portrait mode. you may watch the video below.

When LG releases the LG V40 ThinQ, it will likely be only the second phone on the market with a triple camera setup; the first being theHUAWEI P20 Pro. However, by including a telephoto and a wide angle lens on its device, LG is taking a different route to HUAWEI, which chose to include a monochrome lens and a telephoto lens alongside the regular one.

LG has long included a wide-angle lens as the second camera on its flagship devices. By adding a telephoto lens it could give those who want a powerful phone for photography something to think about when choosing their new phone.

The LG V40 ThinQ is also expected to have a double-camera setup on the front, meaning it could be the first phone to havefive cameras.

This isn’t the only information we have about LG’s upcoming phone. Aleaked spec sheethas all but confirmed that the device will have a Snapdragon 845 chipset, 6GB of RAM, 3,300mAh battery, up to 128GB storage, and Hi-Fi Quad DAC.
