Mobvoi’s TicPods 2 Pro Plus have an upgraded processor, volume control gestures
August 05, 2025
Taking the wraps off their new true wireless earbuds, Mobvoi announced the release of its TicPods 2 Pro Plus. This follows a line of generally well-receivedtrue wireless earphonesfor those who want theAirPodsaesthetic, but don’t want to overpay for branding.
The newest addition to the Mobvoi true wireless earphones stable uses Qualcomm’s QCC5121 chipset, much like their predecessor, the TicPods 2 Pro. Unlike the TicPods 2 Pro, however, the newest Mobvoi true wireless earphones can pair each earbud to your phone individually via Bluetooth 5.0. This is a big upgrade over the TicPods 2 Pro, as those earphones require a master bud connection to control both channels. iOS users will be stuck with AAC, but Android users have more codecs to choose from, including aptX, AAC, and SBC.

On top of the standard controls enjoyed by the TicPods 2 Pro, users of the Mobvoi TicPods 2 Pro Plus will be able to adjust volume via voice command or gesture. Previous iterations of the Mobvoi true wireless earphones have similar controls, but were unable to adjust volume in this way.
According to the press release, the case of the Mobvoi TicPods 2 Pro Plus will house a 390mAh lithium-ion battery, charge over a USB-C connection, and be able to provide enough power to use the earbuds for one hour in only five minutes of charge time. The case’s battery is large enough to charge the earbuds a little over 6 times before needing a recharge itself.

Finally, active users will appreciate an IPX4 dust and water resistance rating, meaning sweat and the occasional rain droplet won’t fry these earphones.
The Mobvoi TicPods 2 Pro are available onMobvoi.comandAmazoninternationally for $139.99, £119.99, or €139.99. Additionally, buyers will be able to choose between Navy (blue) and Ice (white) colors.
