Moto Z4 specs: Definitely no 2019 flagship here
August 01, 2025
Today,Motorolarevealed the Motorola Moto Z4. The device’s design proves that Motorola is standing by its unique selection ofMoto Mods— but the Motorola Moto Z4 specs prove that the company isn’t pushing flagships in the Z line anymore.
Although last year’sMotorola Moto Z3shipped with theQualcomm Snapdragon 835, this year’s model gets a downgrade to theSnapdragon 675. It also ships with the same amount of RAM as the Moto Z3 and goes from a dual-lens rear camera to a single.

Official Motorola Moto Z4 specs:
Although the Moto Z4 is clearly no competition for 2019 flagships like theSamsung Galaxy S10or theOnePlus 7 Pro, it does have some nominal upgrades over its predecessor. It has a bigger battery, more internal storage, a larger screen-to-body ratio, and the addition of an in-display fingerprint sensor.
It will also be 5G-capable, since it will support the5G Moto Mod, which is currently exclusive to the Motorola Moto Z3 (and will come soon to theMoto Z2 Force).

However, the downgraded processor, the relatively small amount of RAM, and the switch to a single rear camera lens might be off-putting to people who already own the Moto Z3. For new buyers, though, the Moto Z4 could be a viable choice if they are looking for a decent budget device.
The only problem those buyers will face is whether to fork out $500 on this or buy aGoogle Pixel 3aor even aOnePlus 6Tinstead. Those devices offer more features, better specs in a few categories, and aren’t locked to theVerizonnetwork. Really, the only thing they’d lose is access to Moto Mods.
