New LG phone stops by the FCC, is it the LG Q7?
August 08, 2025
Last year’sLG Q6was one of the first majorbudget smartphoneson the market with an 18:9 display and thin bezels. It was far from perfect though, but the LG Q7 could right a few wrongs.
According toGSMArena, the phone may have popped up on the FCC’s website, complete with the model number of ZNFQ710TS. For the record, the Q6 had the model number of LGM700Y, so it’s entirely possible that we’re looking at a different LG smartphone. Either way, LG’s screenshot for the FCC shows a tall screen, echoing the Q6.

The device also got certified viaRussia’s telecoms authoritylast week, suggesting that this is going to be a wider release rather than a regional model.
We don’t really know anything else about the new phone, although the above screenshots suggest that the budget handset won’t have adisplay notchlike the upcomingLG G7 ThinQ.

Key specs are a mystery then, but if it’s anything like the Q6, we’re likely to see a budget-minded, octa-core processor, and between 2GB and 4GB of RAM.
The LG Q6 wasn’t the best budget phone we reviewed in 2017, nor was it the best budget device wereviewedin its month of release thanks to theNokia 6andMi A1. The blame can be laid on the slow, bare-bones camera app, and the lack of a fingerprint scanner.
Android Authority‘s Bailey Stein also found the rear speaker to be of disappointing quality, while the plastic back was easily scratched. Here’s hoping these issues get fixed with the LG Q7.
