New OnePlus 8 Lite image shows previous renders got the camera setup wrong

OnePlus is expected to announce three phones in the upcoming OnePlus 8 series. These include: OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, and a mid-range OnePlus 8 Lite. We previously saw leaked renders of theOnePlus 8 Proand theOnePlus 8 Lite. Both sets of renders were released by serial tipsterOnLeaks. Now, it looks like at least one of those renders was slightly off.
As per older renders, we expected the OnePlus 8 Lite to feature a dual camera setup at the back. However, a new image leaked onSlashleaksclaims to show a dummy OnePlus 8 Lite phone with triple rear shooters. you’re able to see the image above.
The suspected OnePlus 8 Lite dummy image was sourced from avideo. We assume this video shows OnePlus staff talking about variousOnePlus phones. The so-called OnePlus 8 Lite dummy is seen sitting quietly in a box, showing off its triple camera bump at the back.
Obviously, it’s hard to tell if this is indeed a OnePlus 8 Lite dummy or a prototype device. Nevertheless, tipster OnLeaks has also revised his render of the phone to include the additional third camera.
OnePlus 8 Lite camera specs
Aleaked spec sheethad previously outed the camera specs of the OnePlus 8 Lite. The leak was spotted on Chinese social media website Weibo and we hadn’t really taken it into consideration until now.
It states that the OnePlus 8 Lite would get a 48MP main camera, a 16MP ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP telephoto shooter. We’d still advise readers to take these specs with a pinch of salt as none of the usual leak sources have jumped on these specs yet.
The OnePlus 8 Lite is expected to launch earlier than the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro. If so, we’ll probably know more about the phone in the coming days.
