Nextbit Robin in Ember now available for $299, video upload coming to Smart Storage

A few weeks agoNextbit started teasinga new fiery red color option for its cloud-friendlyRobinsmartphone, and today the company is making it available for purchase. The Nextbit Robin in Ember is now availableonly at Nextbit.comfor $299. The new color will only be available in a limited quantity, so once it’s gone, it’s gone. We aren’t sure how many of these units Nextbit produced, so you might want to snag one sooner rather than later if you’re interested.
Nextbit says they’ll also sell a limited number of the Ember Robin through Flipkart beginning next week, as this is the only place customers in India can buy the phone. If you’re interested, follow the link below to check it out.
There are also some pretty big changes coming to Nextbit’s cloud service in August. Back when the Robin was first launched, Nextbit promised that support for video upload to the cloud would eventually be added to Smart Storage.

Additionally, this update will include the Android July security update as well as improved thermal tuning.
