NVIDIA Shield Android TV getting new apps, games and more 4K content

When we reviewed theNVIDIA Shield Android TV, we told you it was one of your best bets if you were looking for a high-end set-top box. Fast-forward nearly a year and this continues to be the case! We only a couple complaints:Android TVneeded more polishing and game availability.
Today we are seeing both issues being improved. We have learnt atGoogle IO 2016thatAndroid Nfor Android TV will grant a few key improvements. These include picture-in-picture mode, live TV recording and 4K HDR support.
In addition,NVIDIAis announcing support for a plethora of new apps, as well as 4K content and games. Let’s check them out.

Still priced at $199 (for the base model), the NVIDIA Shield Android TV is one of the priciest alternatives around, so it’s good to see your investment is paying off. The company has been pretty good at updating its media device. NewAndroid versions,optimizationsandgameshaven’t taken long to reach the unit.
