OnePlus hints at a OnePlus car – April Fools joke, or new McLaren product?

OnePlusmight have something incredibly big in the works — or it might just be pulling our collective leg.
On its various social media profiles, OnePlus pushed out an image of what appears to be a car and the words “Coming Soon.” The car doesn’t look to be like anything we’ve ever seen before — could it be a OnePlus car?

Our inclination is to think this is an early April Fools joke. There’s never been any rumors or speculation that the company is working on a OnePlus car, nor any product that’s vehicle-specific.
However, theOnePlus 6Tdoes havea McLaren edition, notable for having 10GB of RAM and even faster-charging capabilities than the already-fast charging that comes with the regular OnePlus 6T. Could this social media tease pertain to some sort of new McLaren partnership?
For what it’s worth, most of the commentsin the thread below that tweet aboveare people speculating that it’s an April Fools joke. I suppose we’ll have to wait until Monday to know for sure.
