Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra specs leak, but is it a real device?
July 08, 2025
We’ve been expecting certain things from the upcoming entries in Samsung’s flagship “S” series of smartphones. However, we’ve recently learned that even the expected nameisn’t what’s really happening. Now, we have leakedspecsfor what some are calling a Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, which at this point could be real for all we know.
Frequent leakersIshan AgarwalandMax Weinbachboth posted leaked specs for the supposed device to Twitter within hours of each other. According to their information, the Galaxy S20 Ultra will be a specs beast, putting pretty much every other smartphone to shame.
According to the leakers, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra could have the following:
Those are some impressive specs, no doubt. However, it’s hard not to think about the idea of a Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra and remember the “Ultra” variant of theGoogle Pixel 3that never happened. Could it be possibleSamsungdoesn’t even have a device like this in mind?

Here are some theories. It’s possible this device does exist and it is taking the place of theSamsung Galaxy S10 5G. Since we expect every device in the S20 family to have 5G connectivity thanks to theSnapdragon 865chipset, a separate 5G-powered model isn’t necessary, so that would make sense.
We’ve also heard very few rumors about a Samsung Galaxy S20e. It is possible that Samsung is taking the route Apple took in 2019 and releasing just three models this year: a standard Galaxy S20 (akin to an iPhone 11), a Galaxy S20 Plus (akin to an iPhone 11 Pro), and a Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra (akin to an iPhone 11 Pro Max). Considering how much Samsung tries to align its Galaxy S series with the iPhone, this doesn’t seem too far-fetched.
If this were true, that means thatthe leaked renders we’ve already seenfor the family depict the S20, S20 Plus, and S20 Ultra, rather than an S20e, S20, and S20 Plus.

Ultimately, until we get some more solid rumors, we don’t know what to think. However, the evidence is mounting that a new, super-high-end variant of the Galaxy S20 series is on the way.
