Samsung Galaxy S7 vs LG G5: Which phone impressed you the most?
July 31, 2025
Samsung and LG flagship handsets have been quite similar for many years, but that’s certainly not the case this year. The newly-announcedGalaxy S7/Galaxy S7 Edgeand theLG G5couldn’t be further apart from one another when it comes to design and feature set, but that’s not a bad thing at all.
The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are more iterative upgrades over their predecessors, with just a few minor tweaks and improvements thrown in. Both feature Quad HD Super AMOLED displays, either a Snapdragon 820or Exynos 8 Octa processorand 4GB of RAM, 12MP cameras with larger 1.4µm pixels, microSD expansion up to 200GB and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

The LG G5 on the other hand is the more experimental of the two, with LG going for a completely revamped design, software and hardware experience this time around. The G5 comes with a 5.3-inch LCD Quad HD display, a Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, a 16MP rear camera, microSD expansion up to 2TB and amodular design.
All three handsets bring a lot of different things to the table, so we’re sure not everyone out there will be in love with all three. Tell us — which smartphone atMWC 2016impressed you the most? Is it the Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge or LG G5?
