Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked video teases the Note 20 and much more

August 04, 2025

Samsung isn’t even trying to hide what it will announce at itsGalaxy Unpacked event— it just posted a trailer that provides a clear indication of what to expect at the August 5 virtual media gala.

Most of the brief clip is focused on promises of stories from designers and developers, but the video wraps up with silhouettes of thefive devicesSamsung said it would reveal during the Unpacked stream. None are particularly subtle, so this is effectively a confirmation of several rumors at once.

The most prominent device, as you might guess, is theGalaxy Note 20(shown at far right). The teaser doesn’t illustrate much, but the stylus-toting flagship is expected to improve on theNote 10with camera technology borrowed from theS20 family, faster processing power (possibly theSnapdragon 865 Plusin North America), a low latency S-Pen and up to a 6.9-inch 120Hz display.

The others are fairly conspicuous. To the left of the Note 20 is theGalaxy Z Fold 2(aka Galaxy Fold 2), the second generation of Samsung’shigh-end foldable. It too could have improved camera and processing technology, but the highlights are believed to be a slightly larger 7.7-inch folding screen and a dramatically expanded 6.2-inch external display.

you may also spot theGalaxy Watch 3, an evolution of Samsung’s high-end wristwear with heart monitoring from theActive 2. Next to it are theGalaxy Buds Live, a new generation of true wireless earbuds that may reintroduce built-in fitness tracking. The slab behind the two wearables, meanwhile, is likely theGalaxy Tab S7. The tablet may boast performance and low latency pen upgrades like the Note 20 and could split into two variants, including an 11-inch standard version with an LCD and a larger 12.4-inch AMOLED model.

We wouldn’t count on any hardware surprises at the event. In addition to setting expectations early, Samsung has been clearing the deck for Unpacked by launching products like theGalaxy Z Flip 5G. The company will be busy with the products it has already hinted at so far, and there haven’t been hints of any other devices that might make an Unpacked appearance.
