Stunning Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus gold and red versions to hit stores from May
July 08, 2025
Samsung has announced two new colors for itsGalaxy S9 and S9 Plusdevices. The new Sunrise Gold and Burgundy Red versions of the phones will join the existing lineup of Midnight Black, Titanium Gray, Coral Blue, and Lilac Purple.
The Burgundy Red version will be available in Korea and China from May. Coming out soon after, the Sunrise Gold version will be available in June in markets including Australia, Chile, Germany, Hong Kong, Korea, Mexico, Russia, Spain, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam. Samsung says that additional markets will follow soon after the original release.

The Sunrise Gold edition will feature a satin gloss finish. According to Samsung, this will “wrap the smartphone in a tranquil glow and glimmer” while creating a feeling of both “vibrancy and calm.”
On the other hand, those looking for a “contemporary and traditional” feel should probably go for the Burgundy Red color which Samsung says — quite hilariously — is “one of the deepest reds available.”

Marketing nonsense aside, the Galaxy S9 is still one of most attractive devices out there and easily sits on ourbest smartphones of 2018list. The new colors are bound to be welcomed by those who’ve had their eye on a Galaxy S9 or S9 Plus but haven’t bought one yet.
Of course, if you still don’t fancy any of the available colors, you could always try out one of the cases from ourbest Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus accessorieslist. It’s probably safer in the long run, too.
