The Alcatel 3V has a rear dual-camera, 2K LCD screen, and costs $150
July 16, 2025
We’ve written a bunch about theAlcatel 3V, one of the budget offerings Alcatel showed off at bothCES 2018andMobile World Congress 2018. While we had the specs pretty much down since CES, we had conflicting info on two details: the price and U.S. release date.
Now we finally have confirmation on both points. The Alcatel 3V will launch in the United States next week onAmazon.comand retail for the low price of only $150. That’s considerably cheaper than our earlier estimates which had it at either 179 euros (~$211) or 189 euros (~$223).

You can pre-order the device right now by clicking the button below.
After the Alcatel 3V hits Amazon, it will eventually roll out to Best Buy and Walmart, viaThe Verge. However, it’s not quite clear how long it will be an Amazon exclusive.

The phone will be sold unlocked, but will only work on GSM carriers. For us here in the United States, that meansT-Mobile,AT&T, or the related MVNOs and affiliates of those carriers.
What do you get for $150? Nowadays, you get quite a bit. The Alcatel 3V comes with a 6-inch, 18:9 LCD display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080, otherwise known as 2K. Inside it will run on a MediaTek MT6737 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage space.

On the back, you’ll find a fingerprint sensor and a dual camera set-up: a 12MP shooter paired with a 2MP lens for depth effects. There’s also a selfie shooter on the front, naturally.
The body of the Alcatel 3V is all plastic, which is unfortunate, and it has a Micro USB port for charging, which is more unfortunate still. However, it does have a headphone jack, which is always a plus. And did we mention that it comes withAndroid 8.0 Oreoout-of-the-box? Well, it does.
And really, who’s to complain about anything when you have a phone with those kinds of specs for only $150? Heck, you could buy three of them and still spend less than you would on aOnePlus 6.
Speaking of buying three of them, whenthe Alcatel 3V was shown to us, we were told it came in three colors: black, blue, and gold. However, we’re not sure if all three color variants will be immediately available when the device hits Amazon next week.
