Try out the new OnePlus app Game Space, no Android Q needed

There areOxygen OS beta versionsavailable at the moment that are based onAndroid Q. Within those betas is a new app created by OnePlus called Game Space, which expands upon the company’s Gaming Mode and Fnatic Mode features.
For a while, the only way to try out Game Space was to install one of the Android Q beta versions ofOxygen OS. Now, however, you may easilygive the app a shoton any OnePlus device — no Android Q needed.
Game Space is essentially a custom launcher for your Android games. It has a simple and colorful UI that lays out all your games in a side-scrolling format. Within Game Space settings, you’re able to change the global functions of Gaming Mode and Fnatic Mode.
Unfortunately, that’s about all Game Space does at the moment. you’re able to’t tweak Gaming or Fnatic Mode on a per-game basis with the app, nor does it feature social integrations of any kind. It’s just a nice way to launch your games.
I installed the app on myOnePlus 7 Proand it found most of my game-related apps, includingemulatorssuch asDolphinandRetroarch. However, it did miss some:Another Eden, for example. Luckily, you can manually add games to Game Space so that’s an easy problem to fix.
Overall, Game Space seems like it could be really cool down the road. If you could customize Gaming Mode to work one way with something like Retroarch and then another way with something like Another Eden, that would be incredibly useful. It would also be cool if there were social features — maybe a quick link to announce on Twitter I’m playing Fortnite, or something.
As long as you own a OnePlus device running a version of Oxygen OS with Gaming Mode (basically anythingAndroid 8.1 Oreoor later), Game Space should work. Give it a shot at the link below:
