Xiaomi confirms Mi Mix 4, Mi Pad 5 will launch next week (Update)

Update: July 18, 2025 (12:45 AM ET):After Xiaomiconfirmedthat the Mi Pad 4 will launch at its August 10 event in China, it has now given the nod to its tablet line, too. Per a newWeibopost, the firm will debut the Mi Pad 5 series alongside its forthcoming flagship smartphone. See both invites below.
Neither teaser image reveals many details about the devices, but the Mi Pad 5’s image is a little more telling. Included as a prominent feature is a stylus, which Xiaomi also alludes to in the post’s body. We also get a glimpse of the tablet’s side, suggesting rounded corners and slightly beveled edges.

However, the company has been silent on a confirmed launch date. Now, it seems that these new slates and phone might arrive before the month ends.
Xiaomi hasannouncedan event chaired by the firm’s founder Lei Jun penned for August 10 at 7:30 PM CST (7:30 PM ET). The event will cover Xiaomi’s recent “good news” and focus on Jun’s “10 most difficult choices” over the course of the company’s existence.
The event description doesn’t get much more specific than that, leaving the fine details open to interpretation. One leaker believes Xiaomi will do more than talk at the event.
Per Weibo tipsterBald Panda, theXiaomi Mi Mix 4andMi Pad 5series will debut at the event. Although there’s little evidence to corroborate this claim, it’s clear we’re building towards an imminent launch.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 and Mi Mix 4: What can we expect?
The presumed Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 series has recently been caught at several certification agencies, suggesting that a launch is just around the corner. The company also teased a long-awaited Mi Mix reprise back in February. Details discovered inMIUI 13code suggests a flagship with an under-display camera is coming soon.
The Mi Mix 4 and Mi Pad 5 are arguably the most eagerly anticipated Xiaomi devices in quite some time, but they could launch in one of the busiest weeks of the year. Samsung will unveil its new products on August 11, while Chinese rival HONOR is set to launch the Magic 3 a day later.
