August 21, 2025

Fortnite Mobileis one of the more demanding games on Android right now, but a select few devices are able to officially run the title at 60 frames per second (fps). Now, the latest device to join the party is reportedly theXiaomi Mi 9.

XDA-Developersreported that the Xiaomi flagship does indeed support the higher frame-rate, which should translate into a smoother visual experience. Developer Epic Games hasn’t updated itsFAQ pagewith the new phone though, the outlet notes.

The FAQ currently lists three phones as capable of playing Fortnite at 60fps: the Snapdragon 845-totingSamsung Galaxy Note 9, theHUAWEI Mate 20 X, and theHONOR View 20. The outlet adds that theGalaxy S10series is also capable of 60fps gameplay, but it hasn’t been added to the list either.

The Mi 9’s ability to support the higher frame-rate isn’t surprising, as it’s one of several recent phones using Qualcomm’s brand-newSnapdragon 855chipset. So it stands to reason that otherSnapdragon 855 smartphonesare good contenders to be next in line. Some of the more prominent phones in this regard include theLG G8 ThinQ, theSony Xperia 1, and theXiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G.
